Marosatherina ladigesi
The Celebes rainbowfish is a slender telmatherinid from Sulawesi, with a halfbeak-like profile and striking yellow and black fin markings in good health. It prefers slightly alkaline, moderately hard water and a long tank with swimming space. Keep in groups of six or more; males display to each other at the surface. Not a Melanotaenia but grouped with rainbowfish in the hobby. Egg layer attaching to fine plants; research Sulawesi biotope for best long-term success.
