Erpetoichthys calabaricus
The ropefish or reedfish is an elongate polypterid relative that moves in snake-like curves through plants and décor. Social and less shy in small groups; may still eat very small tankmates. Excellent escape artists—every gap in the lid must be sealed. Carnivorous; feed meaty frozen foods and appropriate pellets. Grows long in spacious aquaria; plan for a wide footprint and soft sand.
